    It depends on the student’s age and abilities. I’m not a teacher, but in school I used Maple

    The most popular package seems to be Mathematica

    A free alternative to these two packages is Maxima

    Geometer’s Sketchpad and GeoGebra are also pretty good softwares for middle to high school.

    Geogebra is definitely a good tool. For advanced teaching Maple is definitely a very good option.
